Documents for your plans in Montenegro
An accredited court interpreter provides signed and stamped written translations or oral interpretation for notarial acts. A nationwide notarial tariff applies; the required actions are agreed for the document.
Certified court translation is provided without an apostille for most personal documents between Russia and Montenegro under the legal assistance agreement. Other countries follow the applicable apostille, consular legalization or treaty procedure.
Originals can be obtained in person or through a representative and delivered by courier or personally. The procedure allows a simple written power of attorney for obtaining a Russian criminal record certificate. Collection, delivery and translation are scheduled before filing.
Recognition is arranged for applicable first-employment cases involving foreign nationals. The diploma or school certificate and supplement are translated in 3 copies, followed by a notarized copy, Prilog 3 and filing with the Ministry of Education, predominantly in Podgorica.
An exemption applies to entrepreneurs and directors who are sole owners or hold more than 51%, with evidence of registration and ownership. We separately consider former SFRY documents predating the republics’ international recognition and Serbian documents issued before 25 January 2008 as subject to a separate regime.
The procedure allows confirmation of document acceptance for a residence application while an educational institution’s archival certificate is pending. Support continues to the final recognition decision, with the final document supplied within a year.
Prepare powers of attorney for Montenegro or abroad, CRPS extracts and the cadastral list nepokretnosti. For use abroad, the notarial or consular form is agreed with the receiving organization before execution.
The state educational recognition fee is €50–100 depending on document type; translation and notarial work are separate. State payments for residence documentation depend on the chosen basis and procedure.
Document preparation takes account of the Law on Notaries, Law on Recognition of Foreign Educational Documents and Equivalence of Qualifications, regulated profession rules, Lisbon Recognition Convention, legal assistance agreement, Law on Foreigners and Law on Administrative Fees.

It depends on the document's country of origin. For countries party to the Hague Convention, an apostille applies; for all others, consular legalization is required. The need for an apostille is determined individually based on the issuing country.
A translation of the document with its supplement by a court interpreter (in 3 copies), notarization of the copy, a completed application form (Prilog 3), and submission of the full package to the Ministry of Education of Montenegro, in accordance with the Law on the Recognition of Foreign Educational Documents and Equivalence of Qualifications.
Yes. The power of attorney is drawn up and notarized in accordance with the Law on Notaries and the Law on Obligations. It's worth noting: for certain transactions abroad, a consular power of attorney may specifically be required — this should be confirmed in advance with the receiving party.
